Incretin Mimetics and Their Future in the Treatment of Diabetes

Incretin Mimetics and Their Future in the Treatment of Diabetes is a series of continuing education webcasts which were captured at the American Diabetes Association’s 68th Scientific Sessions held on June 6-10, 2008 in San Francisco, California. Each webcast provides insight to clinicians and investigators about incretin mimetics as an emerging treatment. These activities are designed to improve care of the patient with diabetes by providing members of the health care team with an educational program enhancing their knowledge, advancing their skills, and apprising them of the latest research development. The webcasts are available online, free-of-charge to registered participants.

This activity is supported by an unrestricted educational grant from NovoNordisk, Inc.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Review the latest research related to incretin-based therapy
  • List the benefits and risks of the use of new incretin mimetic agents
  • Compare the outcomes in using incretin-based therapy in clinical practice

This continuing education program is intended for physicians, nurses, dietitians, certified diabetes educators, and other health care professionals who treat and manage patients with diabetes.

Credits available through September 1, 2009.
